The Self Made Podcast

Pro rugby Player & Breathwork expert opens up about concussions and how to take control of your breath!

Simon Dutton Season 3 Episode 172

Episode 172 All things breath work, Mobility and health with David Jackson!

Your breath is the window into our nervous system and your nervous system controls how you perceive stress, how well your body moves, your digestion  and so much more! You could make a strong argument it is where our health starts and is certainly the quickest thing we can control if we know how to.

This show will teach you exactly how to do that as we welcome David Jackson to the show.

David Jackson is an ex professional rugby player and breath work coach with the incredible team at Oxygen advantage.

David’s rugby career ended after 10 concussions playing rugby the last giving him a seizure.  He’s since learned after 3 you have severe cognitive decline.

In this episode we break down exactly how breathing works! Should we belly breathe? How do we improve co2 tolerance and how do we make it stick!

If you are a coach wanting to improve their own breathing mechanics or their clients then this is a must listen.

Breathing has an impact on every joint and as David often says “just because it is automatic does not meal it’s optimal”
